Tourist Guide- Stalida Crete

Malia is situated in the northern Crete 37 kilometres (23 miles) east of the capital Heraklion and together with the villages Krassi and Mochos form the settlement of Stalida. As soon as we arrive in Malia we are greeted by the shining Cretan Sea and the majestic Mount Diktis. Malia is home to the third largest Minoan Palace, the only one built next to water. The Palace itself it a jewel of the Minoan era as its complicated design and decorative details are still visible today.
